Life is Short

Life is short. We are all walking this Journey heading towards our final destination. Oh, this is but a time passing… Eternity is our true resting place. We are so busy living that we forget this life we have will come to and end one day, because No One lives forever on this earth. Recently my oldest brother passed away, he was a great man, son, brother, husband, father and friend. I can start counting my many regrets… wishing we had spent more time together, not being able to say Goodbye and many more, he will be greatly missed and forever loved.

If we are being honest with ourselves, now is the time to think about our forever… and forever starts now.

By now you will notice that my blogs always give thanks to God, and the death of my brother is no different. I am thankful that God chose to die first so that we would have life later. Knowing that my brother Joe trusted the Lord in his lifetime here on earth gives us, his family, hope because we can know we will see him again one day when we are all together in heaven with God. There is nothing in life more permanent than death and yet trusting and believing that we can have life within death is more than I can grasp.

My hope is that those who read this will understand that life really is short so don’t get lost in the worries of this life, nothing is more precious than family and nothing is more important than your final destination. Rest now in knowing we can live after we die, but only because of what Jesus finished at the cross and surely his resurrection brings us all life.

Take life moment by moment, don’t miss what’s right in front of you, family is everything. Make sure your journey here on earth is a trusting faithful one so that we can meet one day in eternity…our final destination.
